THE CATALOG WILL BE UPDATED SUMMER 1999

INTRODUCTION

Helen Zidowecki, Religious Education Consultant, Editor
Religious Education Committee, Northeast District, Unitarian Universalist Association
This Catalog provides an overview of religious education materials, primarily Unitarian and Universalist material, from the late 1930’s to the present. The Catalog was published in 1993 and 1997. This version has just been put onto the web, and the updates of the material will be done this summer.

Obviously, not all of the resources that are used by Unitarian Universalist Religious Educators are included in this Catalog. However, the Catalog includes material that:

May be found in churches as early as the 1940’s (and, indeed, much of it has been found in churches in Maine!);

Has been produced or publicized through the Unitarian Universalist Association Religious Education Department, including REACH packets and periodic listings of available materials;

Is available from the UUA Bookstore (in catalog under Religious Education);

Is available for loan from the Northeast District Resource Library;

Has come to the attention of the Editor, realizing that there are additional materials which may have escaped her attention.

In addition to the catalog material itself, there are three sections related to the use of materials:

"Curriculum in Context" of the larger Religious Education Program.

"Using Older Material"

"Evaluating Curricula for Use in Your Church" based on Curriculum Mapping format.

The completeness of the information depends on the information available to the Editor.Comments about the Catalog itself or about specific items, and information that you would like to have considered for inclusion may be sent to the editor:
